November 01 The 7 LampstandsThe seven lamp stands and the Revelation of Jah
The seven lamp stands in Reveletions could represent the cycle of life and the prediction of how it will unfold. These predictios can be aplied to any period in history, but what is interesting is the story of Revelations seems to progress over thousands of years and thus could be pinpointed to be refering to actual historical events. For evxample could the thousand year period at the end of Revalations already of happened or be unfolding now at the start of the 20th century? If one holds true the Rastafarian belief that His Majesty Hallie Selassie is the true Rrevelation of Christ and indeed may be the retern of Christ as predicted in the Bible. Then the story of Revelations fits into place. We can see His Majesty on a throne holding the seven seals and being surounded by angles and smoke with mythical creatures such as those described in Eziekle, built with the finest mettal and have wings and eyes all around and the never stop singing their praises to Jah.
As the timeline unfolds and we see the worlds problems grow ever greater, the speaches and memory of His Majesty become ever more central to finding a solution.
Can this be the final hour of writen about in Revelations? If so then surely we can look forward to many years of peace and prosperity when it is all over. However enduring this test might be with protectin of Gabriel. The seven lampstands at the start of Revalations are a criptic message to say the least and there have been many interpretations of what it could mean. Over the years of pondering this message I came up with my own interpretation.
First I give each lap stand a symbol:
The First lapstand is Man
The Second lampstand is the Universe
The Third lampstand is the Seasons
The Fourth lampstand is the Earth
The Fith lampstand is the Moon
The Sixth lampstand is the Sun
The Seventh lampstand is Jah
Secondly I give each lampstand a geographical region: First South America
Second North America
Third Europe
Fourth Asia
Fith Austrilasia
Sixth Africa
Seventh the Middle East
This is just a personal observation but I have noticed the spiral that is created when you draw a line from each region to the next is a natural formation in nature. Also one can place the lampstands in the shape of the star of David with each point of the star a lampstand and the Seventh lampstand in the middle. You will see it fits perfectly on a map of the world. There are many other references to seven in the Bible such as the seven days of creation. This reminds us that the presice meaning will always be unclear. However when reading the judgement of each lampstand it makes for an interesting perspective. February 20 The FloodSince observing the rising of Sirus at dawn in September last year, I have noticed the cosmic alingment in the flooding of the Nile valley. From Johannesburg: the path of Orions belt (and sirus next to it) when they first apeared, to February when they are beging to sink over the other side of the horizon as the night goes on, are at the same time as the rainy season in this part of the world.
Since I live in Southern Africa, I am idealy placed to see that the rainy season coresponds with the same number of months when Sirus is visable in the sky. As it rains the water eventually makes its way to upper Egypt causing a flood. The Pharaoh's believed they could inflence the flood, whether too much or too little, by their own actions. Rainy season ends when Sirus is no longer visable.
I think this is true in northern africa, though maybe I could find out from someone could confirm this theory.
What is interesting is that this doesn't happen if you go too far south, you move into a winter rainfall pattern and do not affect the flood.
As I wait to see the perfectly allingned universe unfold, I marvel at the moon and the stars in line with the earth and the seasons. September 29 Sirus RisingIt is interesting that the first rising of Sirius at dawn coinsided with the New Year in the Ancient Ethiopian and Jewish callender, which acording to Robert Bauval is a deliberate allingment. An allinment used by the Egyptians to measure the seasons
and the flooding of the Nile. On this year (2007) is also coinsided with September 11and the start of Ramadan. Is this the universe trying, with the ancient Callenders, to tell us that all religions are expressions of our need for harmony and togetherness.
